Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking an anticipated November - April Leave Replacement In-class Math Support Teacher at Haskell Elementary School in New Jersey.

The role involves supporting students with IEPs and collaborating with general education staff. The position requires a valid New Jersey instructional certificate with special education endorsement or eligibility, and the ability to work within an inclusive classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate and appropriate Special Education Endorsement or eligibility.
• Minimum experience as determined by the board.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction to classified pupils in accordance with each pupil's individualized education program.
• Works cooperatively with regular education teaching staff to coordinate instructional activities, monitor progress, and provide support instruction in the regular classroom or resource center as assigned.
• Provides home instruction to confined special education pupils as assigned.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a classroom climate conducive to learning.
• Maintains records of pupil's educational progress in class record books and/or board-approved forms and summarizes these marks for reporting purposes.
