Charter Schools USA Inc. is seeking an Intervention Specialist to join a team dedicated to student greatness and school excellence. You will design flexible programs, support learning, and assist the Principal in maintaining a positive school environment.

Responsibilities include planning instruction, monitoring student progress, coordinating with Guidance Counselors and staff to meet individual needs, and enforcing the code of conduct. A BA and teaching certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Time management to prioritize, organize, and schedule.
• Computer basics: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, students and community.
• Demonstrate flexible and creative management of disciplinary issues.
• Be a team player and support the principal.
• Ability to report and document progress.
• Respect for all stakeholders and reporting mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction aligned to CSUSA goals and adopted courses.
• Create purposeful lesson plans with effective teaching strategies and maximize time on task.
• Present subject matter with real-world, application-based examples to maximize learning.
• Assess student strengths and address needs; generate progress reports.
• Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel.
• Lead discipline enforcement and coordinate with counselors and law enforcement as needed.
• Coordinate school bus supervision and lunchroom duties.
• Prepare students for state-required achievement assessments.
• Assist with curriculum revision and share knowledge for continual improvement.
• Ensure school code of conduct is enforced consistently.
