Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Math Instructional Assistant to support high-quality mathematics instruction by assisting classroom teachers, building math teachers, and the building math coach in delivering small-group instruction and math interventions throughout the school day.

This 180-day classified position collaborates with MTSS efforts to meet students' academic needs across grade levels and aligns with the district's MTSS framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Strong math skills and ability to support math instruction.
• Ability to follow teacher/coach direction and implement instructional plans.
• Effective communication, organization and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group math instruction and intervention under the direction of classroom teachers and the math coach.
• Assist in implementing math intervention plans, instructional activities and guided practice.
• Support students in building mathematical skills, fluency and problem-solving abilities.
