Job summary

Mathnasium in Mount Laurel Township, NJ is seeking passionate individuals to join as Math Instructor/Tutors. This position offers a flexible schedule with part-time hours designed primarily after school hours and weekends, giving instructors the opportunity to change the lives of students from 1st to 12th grade.

An ideal candidate will have exceptional math skills, be motivated to work with children, and contribute to a supportive team environment. Comprehensive training on effective teaching practices will be provided.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Must be willing and able to work on-site at location.

Responsibilities

• Teaching/tutoring in-center using the Mathnasium Method™.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction.
• Assess students’ progress and engagement throughout sessions.
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teaching/tutoring in‑center using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction to students
• Assess students’ progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

Qualifications:

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2
• Must be willing and able to work on-site at location (no remote at this time)
• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks

Applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, and provide work authorization. This is a long-term position.
