Math Instructor/Tutor for Higher Math (part-time) - Katy, TX

We are looking for passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic people who enjoy helping kids. We will teach you everything else you need to know!

We are currently seeking energetic and passionate Math Instructors with a strong math background to work with high school students. Must be able to teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and AP-Calculus. Experience with SAT/ACT prep courses and Calculus is a plus. Strong communication skills and a love for working with children are essential.

Currently, we are only hiring High School Math Instructors (Algebra I to Pre-Calculus).

Qualifications and Skills

• Teaching experience and certificates are preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related fields is preferred. College students are welcome if they pass the Math competency test.
• Strong communication skills
• Must pass a math competency test and background check.
• Proficiency in math through Pre-Calculus required; Calculus experience is a plus.

Center Hours

Open Mon - Thu 3:30 - 8:00 PM and Sun 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Availability to work at least two to three days during the week is required.

Primary Objectives

• Expertise in math concepts from High School Algebra I to Calculus
• Ability to connect with parents and students
• Experience working with children preferred
• Teach/tutor in-center, online, or hybrid using the Mathnasium Method
• Collaborate with team members for individualized instruction
• Assess student progress and engagement
• Proficiency with digital educational tools
• Maintain a safe and professional learning environment

Flexible Hours

This is a part-time role with flexible hours, mainly afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Pay depends on education and experience.

Mathnasium is an E.O.C. and drug-free workplace. Opportunities for growth and leadership are available across multiple centers.
