Position Summary

We are seeking an exceptional instructor to create engaging and productive learning experiences for students. The ideal candidate is passionate, dedicated, and possesses excellent interpersonal, mathematical, and instructional skills. This role offers a unique career path focused on community service, working with students, and developing professional skills.

Applicants must pass a math literacy test, provide work authorization, and pass a background check. Training in the Mathnasium Method will be provided post-hire. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring to students
2. Engage positively with parents to build confidence and demonstrate program value
3. Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
4. Teach in-center, online, or hybrid sessions using the Mathnasium Method, including individualized instruction in group settings
5. Assess student progress and collaborate with team members to enhance learning outcomes
6. Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
7. Maintain a clean, professional learning environment
8. Assist with non-teaching tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Mathematical competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Willingness to learn and undergo training
