Math Instructor/Tutor

Job Responsibilities

1. Actively encourage, motivate, and engage with students during the instructional session
2. Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
3. Correct student work and provide positive, constructive feedback
4. Manage student behavior to create a positive environment that optimizes learning
5. Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice.
6. Assist in non-teaching tasks, which may include cleaning, administrative assistance, or other duties as assigned

4. Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
5. Ability to balance various ongoing tasks

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Additional Info

1. This post is for positions in any of our Davis County locations- Layton, Farmington, and Bountiful. If we schedule a Literacy Test with you we will ask you which center you prefer to work out of.
2. During the summer our center is open Monday-Friday 10 am-2 pm and Tuesday-Thursday 5-7 pm.
3. Scheduling is flexible, and we are more than happy to work with school and other work schedules.
4. Instructors are paid from $11-$15 depending on experience, education, and math skills. There are opportunities for advancement into other positions- e.g., Lead Instructor.
