Math Instructor/Tutor

Job Responsibilities

1. Actively encourage, motivate, and engage with students during the instructional session
2. Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
3. Correct student work and provide positive, constructive feedback
4. Manage student behavior to create a positive environment that optimizes learning
5. Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
6. Assist in non-teaching tasks, which may include cleaning, administrative assistance, or other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Passion for math and working with students
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Eagerness to learn and be trained
4. Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
5. Ability to balance various ongoing tasks

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization (i9 form), and pass a background check.

Additional Info

1. Scheduling is flexible, and we are more than happy to work with school and other work schedules
2. Instructors are paid from $14-$17 depending on experience, education, and math skills. There are opportunities for advancement into other positions- e.g., Lead Instructor.
