Job summary

Vanguard College Prep in Greenville, SC is seeking a full-time Math Instructor to lead small core groups and foster long-term understanding of algebra, geometry, and SAT/ACT math.

You will track progress through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum, craft engaging lessons, reply promptly to students, and mentor middle and high schoolers through the college-prep journey, with paid training and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field; master’s preferred.
• Teaching experience in math or college-level tutoring center (1+ years).
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google/G-Suites.

Responsibilities

• Instruct small core groups of students in math core skills to promote long-term understanding.
• Track students’ progress through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.
• Model professionalism and organizational skills by replying to students promptly and managing lesson schedules.
• Spearheaded development and creative execution of evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor middle and high school students through the college application process.
