Job summary

Bartholomew County Goodwill Excel Center is hiring a Math Instructor. The role supports students in a nontraditional setting, delivering the Excel Center curriculum and promoting student success through a student-centered approach. The position emphasizes meeting Indiana Standards and ongoing curriculum improvement.

The role involves instruction from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with Fridays flexible/preparatory. A Bachelor's in a subject area and Indiana teaching certification are required or candidates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in subject specialty; Indiana teaching certification or willingness to obtain emergency license.
• Effective instructional strategies to meet diverse learners; align with Indiana Academic Standards.
• Strong communication with students and colleagues; use restorative approaches when needed.
• Experience with online learning tools and content delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement curricula and assessments meeting academic standards.
• Track student data and use it to set goals and drive improvement.
• Build relationships and communicate progress with students and staff.
• Provide instruction using multiple modalities: direct, seminars, self-paced, and online learning.
• Collaborate with the school director to support school-wide goals and graduation outcomes.
• Support recruitment, enrollment, and outreach efforts.
