Job summary

Mathnasium in St Louis Park, MN is seeking a part-time Instructor to help K-12 students understand and excel in mathematics. You will foster a positive, engaging learning environment and utilize technology to tailor learning plans to fit each student’s needs.

The role offers a flexible schedule (1–5 days/week) with after-school hours (3–8pm Mon–Thu, 9am–1pm Sat) and paths for professional development and advancement within Mathnasium’s growing Twin Cities network.

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude for math and a passion for STEM.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Make learning math fun for students
• Find joy helping K-12 students to improve their understanding of math
• Embrace the use and application of technology to facilitate custom, individualized learning plans based on each student's needs
• Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for parents & students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support that encourages professional growth
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the success of all students
• Flexibility in learning a different style of teaching in order to best support students
