Job summary

A local educational center in Okemos is seeking passionate individuals to teach math to K-12 students. As an instructor, you will provide personalized instruction in both in-center and online settings. This part-time role offers flexible hours after school and on weekends and emphasizes a supportive work culture. Ideal candidates will have strong math skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a desire to impact students’ lives positively.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate math proficiency via a literacy test.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-center and online using the Mathnasium Method™.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach in‑center and online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Compensation: $11.25 per hour

Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
