Job summary

Beecher Community School District is seeking an educational leader to oversee mathematics curriculum, staff development, and assessment alignment. The candidate will promote best practices, oversee materials selection, and communicate successful strategies district-wide to support school improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational leadership, elementary or secondary education, or in a content area assessed on the state's assessment test (Mathematics).
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate in Mathematics (Permanent/Continuing/Provisional/Professional).
• Administrative certification preferred.
• Experience in clinical supervision or supervision of teachers preferred.
• Strong curriculum and instructional background required.
• Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and College and Career Readiness Standards.

Responsibilities

• Become knowledgeable of essential skill content standards for the Michigan Core Curriculum and Beecher Community School District.
• Develop familiarity with best practices to ensure successful student outcomes.
• Assist in curriculum outcomes development for mathematics content areas assessed on state tests.
• Support district and building improvement efforts and focus staff development on challenging skill areas.
• Assist in analysis of student test data and prepare written reports identifying essential skills.
• Serve on curriculum and instructional materials committees ensuring alignment with state standards.
• Provide informational newsletters about successful practices and instructional innovations within Beecher Community School District.
