Job summary

New Visions for Public Schools is seeking a Professional Learning Specialist to provide mathematics implementation support across NYC public schools. You will collaborate with the C&I math team, district stakeholders, and school staff to design and deliver curriculum-based professional learning and coaching.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, alignment with NY standards, and capacity building through collaborative coaching across schools in NYC.

Qualifications

• Masters-level degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public education in urban schools, preferably at the secondary level.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising, coaching, or leading teachers at a school site.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement curriculum-based professional learning.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and ability to use data to inform instructional support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the C&I math team to implement HQIM-based professional learning and school visits.
• Use data from NV staff and district stakeholders to tailor coaching and support.
• Align instructional goals with district and citywide priorities for HQIM implementation.
• Provide ongoing professional learning that supports teachers and instructional leaders.
