Job summary

Research Triangle High School seeks an exceptional education teacher to support students within the STEM-focused curriculum. The EC teacher will collaborate with general education colleagues, contribute to IEP planning, and monitor student progress to ensure alignment with NC standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching experience, NC Exceptional Education certification, and a background in Math instruction; a Bachelor’s Degree is required. A signing bonus is available for this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience preferred.
• NC Exceptional Education certification and teaching license required.
• Experience with Math instruction preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Commitment to Research Triangle High School mission and innovative teaching.

Responsibilities

• Support general education teachers with established curriculum and individual student plans.
• Provide input on development of IEPs.
• Maintain Special Education files (paper and electronic).
• Collect data on student skills to measure progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with team to promote access to general education peers and settings.
• Plan instructional/behavioral strategies to adapt curriculum for all students.
