Job summary

New Trier is seeking a dynamic Mathematics Department Chair to lead the Winnetka Campus Math department for the school year, with full-time duties and additional summer per diem days. The role supervises approximately 30 math faculty and collaborates on curriculum development across campuses.

The Chair will work with campus leaders to implement district plans, lead professional development, oversee evaluations, and ensure alignment with state standards.

Qualifications

• Master's/advanced degree in math, education, or equivalent.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with administrative endorsement.
• Ability to become ISBE Qualified Evaluator.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the Math Department.
• Supervise ~30 math faculty and manage campus programs.
• Collaborate on curriculum development with cross-campus partners.
• Engage in district-wide and campus leadership initiatives.
• Support professional development and staff evaluation processes.
• Allocate district resources and supervise budget for department.
