Job summary

Metropolitan Community College seeks a Math Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the on-campus Math Centers. The role includes scheduling staff, providing instructional assistance, and coordinating with Math faculty to meet student needs.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to travel between campuses. 40 hours/week, on-site with potential campus travel. MCC values diversity and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Two or more years of related work experience such as teaching, tutoring, or training diverse adult learners.
• At least one year of college Math Center experience.
• Experience supervising, coaching, and training others in a team environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day activities of the center.
• Supervises assigned staff and their work schedules.
• Provides math support to students, faculty, and staff during assigned hours.
• Collaborates with math department faculty to address math-related needs across the curriculum.
• Designs interventions to support math skills and student learning outcomes.
• Promotes the Math Center and related services to faculty, staff, and students.
