Job summary

WellSpan Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Maternity LDRP unit. The role provides supervision of nursing and support staff, ensures staffing adequacy, and delivers direct patient care as needed to maintain high-quality outcomes.

The ANM collaborates with the Nurse Manager, coordinates staffing, mentors staff, and participates in performance evaluations. Required are RN licensure and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required for certain areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Diploma, Associates, or BSN (within 3 years of hire).
• 3 years charge/leadership experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
• Licenses: RN, multi-state license, BLS at hire.
• Courses: Neonatal resuscitation as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of nursing and ancillary staff on assigned unit.
• Support staffing levels and develop staffing schedules.
• Oversee delivery of patient care and delegate assignments.
• Ensure staff competency and regulatory compliance.
• Act as charge nurse when needed and participate in performance appraisals.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse on unit needs.
