Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Maternity 16HR Day Shift at the Women's and Family Campus. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse, supporting comfort and safety while assisting with activities of daily living.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and completion of Nurses Aide/MA training with competency evaluation; EMT or Nursing student rotation is acceptable. Basic Life Support is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nurse aide or Medical Assistant training and competency evaluation required; EMT or Nursing student clinical rotation acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN guidance.
• Assist with plan of care and activities of daily living; support comfort, safety and personal care needs.
• Measure vital signs; perform ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, capillary glucose testing.
• Support Unit Secretary, Patient Transport and Environment of Care duties.
