Job summary

Required qualifications include a valid New York State RN license and current registration, plus BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit.
• Diagnoses and treats responses to actual or potential health problems using nursing methods and techniques.
• Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing regimen for patients/clients.
• Records and maintains nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interprets and reports patients' responses to the health team and collaborates with interdisciplinary colleagues.
