Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Women’s Services Clinical Nurse Educator to plan, deliver, and evaluate education across Labor and Delivery, obstetric triage, postpartum care, newborn nursery, and NICU. You will strengthen clinical competence, support onboarding and professional development, and translate evidence into bedside practice.

Collaborating with department leaders and clinical experts, you will promote safe, respectful, family-centered care and drive competency

Formación

• Current RN license valid in SC; credentialing process required.
• Five years of obstetric/nursery nursing experience with preceptor/educator roles.
• Current BLS and NRP credentials.
• Ability to assess learning needs and teach adult learners.
• Excellent interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Develop orientation plans for new hires, transfers, and staff entering new roles; track milestones and records.
• Lead staff education plans based on patient needs, safety events, and practice changes.
• Coordinate obstetric emergency readiness with ED, ICU, and partner departments through training.
• Provide coaching, simulations, and competency validation for clinical equipment and fetal monitoring systems.
• Maintain education calendars, competency records, and remediation follow-up; report to leadership.
