Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is seeking a Clinical Abstractor for the NYC Maternal Mortality Review Committee. This part-time, temporary role is based in Long Island City with hybrid work options, including remote work up to 260 hours per month and required in-office meetings.

You will conduct clinical abstraction of death and birth records, write de-identified narratives, and support MMRC activities under supervision of the Deputy Director.

Formación

• Active clinical license in relevant field required.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in obstetrics/gynecology or family medicine.
• Strong understanding of normal/abnormal pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Experience handling highly sensitive personal health information and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Complete Training and Orientation per DOHMH/MMRC guidelines.
• Abstract maternal mortality records and review multiple sources of records.
• Pre-review records within 2 weeks of assignment and flag conflicts of interest.
• Develop and present de-identified case narratives for MMRC meetings.
• Attend monthly MMRC trainings and contribute to quality checks.
