Job summary

NYU Langone Health's Grossman School of Medicine seeks an Ultrasound Tech (FGP) to float among four Brooklyn locations. You will perform diagnostic sonographic exams, operate ultrasound equipment, and support training for students and staff.

The successful candidate will hold a certificate from an approved ultrasound program, be ARDMS registered or eligible, and demonstrate strong collaboration across clinical teams while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
• Registered or registry eligible to take the ARDMS exam within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations and produces quality images.
• Directs and guides Ultrasound Technology students during clinical training.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and performs QC checks on hardware and probes.
• Follows HIPAA regulations and departmental protocols for patient information and exam orders.
• Collaborates with radiology staff to ensure appropriate protocol and scheduling.
