Job summary

The candidate should be fellowship-trained in MFM with board certification or eligibility, hold an active Virginia license or be eligible, and be prepared for on-call responsibilities and student supervision.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required for practice.
• Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.
• Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine required or strongly favored.
• US MFM fellowship training completed or in progress.
• Active Virginia medical license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in diagnosis and management of high risk or complicated pregnancies.
• Consultative obstetric service and interpretation of obstetrical ultrasounds.
• Perform antenatal testing and preconception/antenatal consultations.
• Inpatient care of antepartum patients and education of medical students.
• Perform prenatal diagnostic procedures and cerclage when indicated.
• Participate in meetings and quality/safety initiatives; maintain on-call coverage.
• Use EPIC and Viewpoint EHR systems; assist with training as needed.
