Job summary

North Memorial Health in Minnesota is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging under the direction of MFM providers. You will contribute to high-risk obstetric evaluations and fetal assessments in a busy, patient‑centered setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of MFM experience, ARDMS registration or eligibility within 24 months, and BLS certification. On-site, daytime schedule with a focus on compassionate care for families.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
  • Registered or registry eligible by ARDMS; must obtain within 24 months.
  • Fetal Nuchal Translucency and Fetal Echocardiogram certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of AIUM Accreditation standards preferred.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging under direction of MFM providers.
  • Support high-risk obstetric assessments and fetal evaluations.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment with understanding of MFM protocols.

About this position

The MFM Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures under the direction of the MFM program providers and physician director of ultrasound. The MFM Sonographer has a thorough understanding of the equipment and its appropriate use.

Requirements
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
Experience
  • 1-5 years previous experience in MFM practice strongly preferred.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). New graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire.
  • Fetal Nuchal Translucency Certification, preferred
  • Fetal Echocardiogram Certification, preferred
  • Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR), preferred
  • Knowledge of AIUM Accreditation standards, preferred
Licensure/Certification
  • ARDMS Registered or Registry Eligible; new graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire
