The Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer at Sibley Memorial Hospital operates all ultrasound equipment in the Maternal Fetal Medicine and Labor and Delivery departments to perform diagnostic exams according to physician orders. Performs obstetric ultrasounds as indicated by physician order.

Requirements include completion of an approved diagnostic ultrasound curriculum, ARDMS OB/GYN registration or registry-eligible, CPR certification, and Maternal Fetal Medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic ultrasound.
• ARDMS OB/GYN registration (or registry-eligible) required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Maternal Fetal Medicine experience is a must. Fetal echo certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Operates ultrasound equipment in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Labor & Delivery.
• Performs obstetric ultrasounds as indicated by physician orders.
• Ensures diagnostic accuracy and patient safety during exams.
