Job summary

Orlando Health Women’s Institute in Central Florida seeks an experienced sonographer specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine and pediatric congenital ultrasound. You will perform diagnostic imaging, collaborate with radiology and perinatology teams, and mentor students while adhering to ARDMS/CCI credentialing and safety standards.

The role supports a full-time daytime schedule with no weekends, engaging in advanced ultrasound modalities and patient-centered care within the Orlando Health system.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in applied science from an accredited school of sonography and ARDMS eligibility guidelines.
• Must meet ARDMS/CCI guidelines for licensure and renewal.
• RDMS, RDCS, and RCS certifications are required or in active pursuit.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certificate is current.
• NTQR certifications (CLEAR, Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone) preferred.
• Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine and pediatric congenital sonography is essential.

Responsibilities

• Acts as sonography section leader and represents ultrasonography to Imaging Services Manager when considering equipment or personnel issues.
• Work closely with Radiologist, Perinatologist and Cardiologist to perform diagnostic sonographic exams.
• Ensure professional judgment and quality care in performance of imaging services.
• Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Direct and supervise student sonographers and training of new staff.
• Plan and prioritize exam scheduling to support patient and physician needs.
