Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking a compassionate Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician for our Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA offices. The role emphasizes outpatient obstetrics with occasional inpatient consultations, leading a skilled clinical team, and coordinating care to optimize outcomes.

Board-certified in OB/GYN or eligible for MFM, with MD/VA/DC licensure preferred. A strong commitment to quality, teaching, and patient-centered care is required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Previous Maternal-Fetal Medicine experience preferred.
• Active medical license in MD/VA/DC strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major obstetric surgical procedures.
• Diagnose and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership to nurses, NPs, and medical assistants.
• Support technology enhancements to improve quality and patient experience.
• Conduct patient examinations, take histories, order and interpret tests.
• Participate in internal quality-improvement initiatives.
• Outpatient-focused MFM with some inpatient consultations.
• Work Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with a clinical team.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services and fetal assessments including echocardiograms, first-trimester screens, and amniocentesis (CVS experience valued).
• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST and biophysical profile.

We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented physician who prioritizes patient care, delivers exceptional experiences, and stays at the forefront of women's health innovations. This opportunity is at both our Silver Spring, MD location and Alexandria, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.

• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff-including nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants-ensuring adherence to proper procedures and protocols.

• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.

• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Participate actively in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.

• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.

• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).

• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
