Job summary

Advantia Health seeks a board-certified or eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician for its Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA offices. The role is primarily outpatient with some inpatient consults, supported by a skilled team and advanced technology to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities include leading OB/GYN and MFM care, performing ultrasound and procedures as indicated, and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Previous experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is preferred.
• Active Medical License in the State of Maryland/Virginia/DC is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.
• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff-including nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants-ensuring adherence to proper procedures and protocols.
• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Participate actively in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.
• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).
• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
