Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking a compassionate Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician for our Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA offices. The role combines outpatient MFM care with some inpatient consultations, supported by a skilled clinical team.

Responsibilities include managing complex OB/GYN conditions, leading staff, and advancing care technology to enhance quality and patient experience. MD license in MD/VA/DC strongly preferred; board certification in OB/GYN and MFM eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Previous MFM experience preferred.
• Active Medical License in MD/VA/DC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.
• Diagnose and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership to medical staff incl. nurses and PAs.
• Support technology enhancements to improve quality and patient experience.
• Conduct patient exams, take histories, order/perform tests.
• Participate in internal quality-improvement initiatives.
• MFM role outpatient with some inpatient consultations.
• Work Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with a clinical team.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services and fetal testing.
• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NSTs.

We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented physician who prioritizes patient care, delivers exceptional experiences, and stays at the forefront of women's health innovations. This opportunity is at both our Silver Spring, MD location and Alexandria, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.

• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff-including nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants-ensuring adherence to proper procedures and protocols.

• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.

• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Participate actively in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.

• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.

• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).

• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

Qualifications:

• Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

• Previous experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is preferred.

• Active Medical License in the State of Maryland/Virginia/DC is strongly preferred.

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
