Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking compassionate Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians for our Silver Spring, MD and Northern Virginia offices. The role is primarily outpatient with some inpatient consultations, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a skilled clinical team.

You will perform high-volume ultrasound interpretations, manage OB/GYN conditions, and lead collaborations with nurses, NPs, and MAs while contributing to quality initiatives and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in OB/GYN; MFM certification or eligibility preferred.
• Active MD license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC preferred.
• Prior maternal-fetal medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.
• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff including nurses, NPs, and medical assistants.
• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Participate in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.
• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).
• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

Education

Board Certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology

Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Active Medical License in MD/VA/DC

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
