Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
• Unencumbered nursing license in the state of Oregon
• At least two years of instructional experience as a registered nurse

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession
• Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students
• Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives
• Remediates students as needed and orients them to agency policies
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learning needs
• Grades homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
• May teach didactic course content under supervision of the course coordinator
• Keeps course coordinator informed of student and agency issues and concerns
