Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Health, seeks a COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING CONSULTANT to support infant, child, maternal and reproductive health initiatives across the state. You will lead planning and implementation of new programs, provide technical assistance, and coordinate with county health departments, Healthy Start coalitions, and vendors to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

• Reviews infant, child, maternal and reproductive health materials impacting policy and program development.
• Provides consultation and technical assistance to staff, county health departments, and providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or participate in planning, development and implementation of infant, maternal and reproductive health initiatives with technical assistance and liaison roles.
• Respond to information requests regarding operation of maternal child health services.
• Participate in Quality Assurance reviews of Healthy Start coalitions, county health departments and providers; monitor services for compliance; analyze data to improve services.
• Assist with review/development of Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health guidelines, SOC protocols, and IOps as assigned.
• Serve as contract manager for programs; monitor deliverables, review invoices, certify deliveries of goods/services.
• Join interdepartmental workgroups; coordinate training programs and meetings for county health departments and Healthy Start staff and providers.
