Job summary

The State of Oklahoma's Tulsa Center is seeking a Materiel Management Officer II for the Supply Department. The role includes receiving, issuing and shipping stock, inspecting items, and coordinating with the purchasing agent and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Minimum five years in supply/warehousing or an equivalent combination of education and experience; OSBI background check required and valid driver’s license; lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds

About the Position

This position reports to the Facility Operations Administrator (FOA) at the Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH). Duties include receiving, issuing, and shipping stock, and arranging it in proper storage locations; inspecting incoming items for conformance with specifications; acting as liaison to the agency purchasing agent/Central Purchasing; and conferring with department heads, vendors, and outside agencies on purchases, deliveries, and acceptability of supplies.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Education and experience requirements at this level consist of five years' experience in supply or warehousing work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements
  • Applicants must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of lifting/carrying 70 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 40 pounds.

About us

The Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) is a psychiatric hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. TCBH provides a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that supports recovery and enhances quality of life for individuals and the community. The facility serves adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis, with or without co-occurring substance use disorders, and who are medically stable.

In response to the increasing need for mental health services in our community, TCBH is being replaced by a new facility, the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center (OPCC). Situated in the OSU Academic Medical District in downtown Tulsa, this modern psychiatric hospital will feature 106 inpatient beds, an expanded residency program, and an enhanced range of behavioral health services. Construction of the OPCC is currently in progress.

Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing

Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
