Med-National Staffing Inc. is seeking a Materials & Warehouse Supervisor to oversee material flow, inventory, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setting.

You will lead hourly staff, ensure timely material availability, and minimize supply disruptions in support of production schedules. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience; PhD with 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse management, materials supervision, or supply chain operations within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising hourly warehouse and material handling employees.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, and production material flow.
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Experience tracking, planning, and forecasting material availability to support manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including JIT, Kanban, pull systems, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond quickly to changing production priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise hourly warehouse and material handling employees, ensuring proper material handling, storage, and stock movement.
  • Train, mentor, coach, and support team members while maintaining a productive and accountable work environment.
  • Manage material flow and inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams regarding purchase orders, replenishment schedules, and material lead times.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments in partnership with logistics teams.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to monitor material availability, consumption, inventory levels, and replenishment requirements.
  • Support Lean manufacturing practices, including Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, and pull systems.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, supply disruptions, inventory discrepancies, and warehouse inefficiencies.
  • Lead shift scheduling and workforce planning to align staffing with production demands.
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, material flow, inventory accuracy, and material handling operations.

Materials & Warehouse Supervisor Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Materials & Warehouse Supervisor to oversee material flow, inventory management, and warehouse operations within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This position will lead hourly warehouse and material handling employees while ensuring materials are available to support production schedules and minimize supply disruptions. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, automotive warehouse experience, and a solid understanding of inventory control, material planning, and manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Suppliers, Production Control, and Warehouse Operations to maintain safe, accurate, and efficient material flow.
