Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate for our Material Management Facilities in the United States (Washington area). Under indirect supervision, you will handle shipping, receiving, storing and issuing parts, materials, and equipment, and you will record all transactions and maintain accurate counts.

You will operate vehicles and equipment, support storm restoration logistics, and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Warehousing/stock handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure counts are accurate and goods are in serviceable condition.

Record all transactions. Load, unload and transport parts, materials and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Service motor vehicles and mechanical equipment and perform other work as assigned.


• Maintain work area in a clean, orderly condition.

Basic/Required Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or Equivalent.


• Valid driver's license.

Desired Qualifications

• Warehouse experience.


• Forklift experience.


• Previous utility experience.

Working Conditions

• Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility.


• Position will also support Huntington & Rochester locations.


• Storeroom, warehouse, and outside storage areas.


• Incumbent must live within 35 miles of the work location for storm restoration, relocation assistance not included.


• Travel Requirements: 5-15%.


• Relocation Assistance Provided (as applicable).


• Represented/Union Position – IBEW Local 1393.
