Job summary

Terracon's Lincoln, Nebraska office is seeking several Construction Material Testing – Engineering Technicians in Training. You will learn field testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel, and communicate with project teams about requirements and results.

Under supervision, you will transport samples to the laboratory, prepare reports, maintain equipment, and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, learn and assist with basic testing and observation duties.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
• Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintains assigned equipment and work areas; ensures cleanliness and readiness.
• Follow safety rules and practices, perform pre-task planning, and report safety concerns to management.
