Job summary

Terracon in Tallahassee, FL seeks an entry-level Construction Materials Technician to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials.

Under supervision you will collect samples, document results, and communicate with project teams while maintaining safety standards and equipment. This role includes hands-on training and opportunities to gain industry certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist on basic testing and observations under supervision.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate results to Project Manager and discuss accuracy of data.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintain assigned equipment and adhere to safety standards.
