Job summary

Utah Testing and Engineering, a subsidiary of Sunrise Engineering, seeks a Materials Testing Technician to support our expanding team in Utah. The role involves field and lab material inspections to verify conformance with construction plans and specifications.

The successful candidate will prepare daily reports and job paperwork, perform testing, and assist the Inspector as needed. We value safety, balance, and a collaborative culture, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of materials testing experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Desired certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days): ICC or ACI; Nuclear Gage certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete daily written reports.
• Complete paperwork for each job.
• Perform inspection and testing of materials in the field and lab to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Complete various duties as directed by the Inspector.

Your Impact

The Materials Testing Technician provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization.
