Job summary

ECS Limited in McKinney, TX seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I to lead and execute low-complexity testing projects from proposal through completion. You will coordinate field and lab work, manage budgets and client communications, and uphold ECS core values while delivering accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing field reports, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of construction materials testing principles and applications.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing and ASTM standards.
• Ability to interpret field and laboratory testing results.
• Ability to manage priorities, schedules and deadlines.
• Developing client relationships and business development skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials testing software.
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities (developing).
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion for low-complexity work.
• Review daily field reports and resolve technical and administrative issues.
• Manage project budgets, invoices, pay applications, and collections; prepare proposals and change orders.
• Support and perform testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, and asphalt.
• Coordinate field staff; provide training and oversight on assigned projects.
• Communicate with clients regarding project status, deliverables and follow-up actions.
• Host or participate in project meetings with clients.
• Mentor junior staff and technicians and support team development.
• Ensure accurate and timely project documentation and reporting.
• Perform other project management and technical duties as assigned.
