Job summary

ECS Midwest, LLC seeks an entry-level field and laboratory assistant to support construction materials testing and observation in the field and lab. You will help with data entry, documentation, and equipment organization as part of project teams.

Candidates pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, with zero related experience required, will gain hands-on experience while completing certifications in a structured program and maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering or related degree.
• 0 years of related experience.
• One certification must be completed within the 90-day introductory period, and all basic certifications must be completed within 270 days of employment.
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
• Willingness to work in outdoor field environments and laboratory settings.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction materials testing and observation activities in the field and laboratory.
• Observes testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Supports documentation of site conditions and testing results.
• Assists with organization and preparation of field and laboratory equipment.
• Performs basic data entry and documentation tasks.
• Works with technicians and project teams to support project execution.
• Participates in field and laboratory workflows to gain practical experience.
• Assists with maintaining clean and organized work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
