Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Texas is seeking an entry‑level assistant to support construction materials testing in the field and laboratory. You will help observe soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials while gaining practical experience.

You will assist with preparing equipment, perform data entry, and support project teams. No prior experience required beyond pursuing a Civil or related degree; certifications within set timelines are expected.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• One certification must be completed within the 90‑day introductory period, and all basic certifications must be completed within 270 days of employment.
• Certifications applicable to the work performed are required.
• If driving for ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction materials testing and observation activities in the field and laboratory.
• Observe testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Support documentation of site conditions and testing results.
• Assist with organization and preparation of field and laboratory equipment.
• Performs basic data entry and documentation tasks.
• Works with technicians and project teams to support project execution.
• Participates in field and laboratory workflows to gain practical experience.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
