Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks an entry-level field/laboratory support role in Texas. You will assist with construction materials testing and observation in the field and lab, document results, and help prepare equipment. The position requires pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and completion of certain certifications within set timelines.

Candidate should be able to work outdoors, follow directions, and collaborate with project teams, while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Civil Engineering or related degree.
• 0 years of related experience.
• Certifications applicable to the work performed are required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and organized.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in outdoor field environments and laboratory settings.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction materials testing and observation in field and lab.
• Observes testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Supports documentation of site conditions and test results.
• Assists with organization and preparation of field and lab equipment.
• Performs basic data entry and documentation tasks.
• Works with technicians and project teams to support execution.
• Participates in field and laboratory workflows to gain experience.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas.
