Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required with 4+ years experience (or MS with 2+ years).
• Experience with mechanical testing of engineering materials.
• Experience with composites and aerospace materials.
• Ability to develop test plans and document results.
• Experience with ASTM/MIL-STD testing standards.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical testing of materials and test articles to support multiple test programs.
• Support programs in composites R&D, thermal protection systems, and hypersonics.
• Assist in guiding research across multi-disciplinary teams to meet objectives and schedule.
• Direct testing and reporting efforts for material test programs.
• Investigate anomalous test outcomes and provide resolution to the program team.
• Serve as liaison between program team, technical team, and exterior teams.
