Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Team-lead, Materials for the 2nd shift at the Chester, Virginia facility. The role oversees material handlers, prioritizes work, and ensures safe, accurate movement of goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include inventory planning, enforcing 6S standards, and supporting shipping teams. Prior supervisory experience and AS400/MS Office proficiency are preferred, with overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee work assignments given to Material Handlers and help meet short-term departmental objectives.
• Delegate job assignments and set priorities based on workload and labor availability.
• Ensure safety, quality and housekeeping standards are met; take corrective actions when needed.
• Assist with planning and execution of inventories and audits.
• Operate lift equipment when required and support with material movement.
