Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Newbury Park seeks a motivated Materials Support professional for a temporary contract in our Mobile Solutions unit.

You will support prototype lab builds, coordinate materials, implement SAP for materials management, and work cross-functionally with IT, data, PMs, and suppliers. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 4 years in NPI, supply chain, materials planning, or process analysis.
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience in supply chain/production.
• Strong MS Excel (macros/lookup) and Power BI or similar tools.
• Experience with Visio and PowerPoint for process mapping.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities cross-functionally in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Prototype lab assembly builds—from verification, material prep, and kitting for SMT.
• Prepare materials shortage report with assembly lab to start new builds.
• Work with IT, Data, PMs, and Materials analyst to implement SAP for materials management
• Assist program managers, design team and assembly lab with sourcing materials.
• Receive, log, store, and transfer engineering materials to build locations.
• Monitor material delivery timelines to meet engineering and production milestones.
• Identify and resolve material shortages, overages, and delivery issues.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on material status and risks.
• Develop and refine work instructions and inventory management processes.
• Coordinate the disposition of obsolete, non-conforming, and excess materials.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through inventory optimization and process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure material readiness for program builds.
