Job summary

IEM is seeking a Materials Supervisor for our San Antonio, TX location to lead the daily materials operations and ensure the safe, accurate flow from receipt through supermarket inventory, WIP, and final product shipment. The role partners with Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in materials management in a manufacturing environment and experience with PFEP, Kanban, and lean replenishment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in materials management in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years supervising or leading a team in a warehouse, materials, inventory, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting lean warehouse and material replenishment systems (PFEP, Kanban, supermarket, pull, and point-of-use).
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems: SAP, Oracle, or Infor Syteline.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily materials management activities, including supermarket operations, receiving, inventory control, material handling, replenishment, point-of-use delivery, WIP, and finished-goods flow.
• Support accuracy, availability, and flow of raw material, WIP, and finished-goods inventories through discipline and cycle counting.
• Maintain and update PFEP system, including part characteristics, demand, usage, storage locations, and replenishment methods.
• Lead lean material replenishment design including Kanban and point-of-use concepts.
• Coordinate with Planning and Purchasing to align with production schedules and escalate shortages or risks.
