Job summary

ConMet’s Chillicothe, OH manufacturing facility is seeking a motivated, hands-on Materials Supervisor to lead warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports production schedules and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in a related field and at least 3 years of materials/warehouse experience, with strong leadership and SAP proficiency to optimize

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of materials, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material handling operations to support production and customer delivery requirements.
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, warehouse organization, FIFO practices, and inventory control processes.
• Coordinate transportation, freight, packaging, and shipping activities while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Supervise, coach, and develop personnel to ensure a safe, productive, and high-performing team.
• Partner with Production, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure material availability and meet production schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS standards, and customer requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
