Job summary

Summit Polymers, a leading automotive interior systems supplier, is seeking a Supervisor, Materials (Customer Service) to oversee order coordination, shipping, and customer contact activities. You will supervise the Customer Service Coordinator(s), ensure timely processing of orders and updates, and collaborate with sales, inventory and purchasing to optimize scheduling and fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • Business or related degree or 2 years experience in Materials or a customer contact position.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information to make decisions from limited options.
  • Must meet the Wonderlic Select Assessment requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Records, adjusts, and updates shipping schedules, cum-cards, samples, new orders, shipping volume, and order changes.
  • Advise appropriate personnel of order changes.
  • Maintain contact with customers to assure timely processing of orders, shipments, and changes.
  • Reports customer problems and concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Reviews and confirms that schedules and shipping dates will meet customer requirements.
  • References all release and blanket orders and ships according to those orders.
  • Refers priority work and complaints to appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Coordinates with sales, inventory control, customer service, and purchasing on upcoming scheduling needs.
  • Responsible for assuring compliance with customer bulletins.
  • Sends ASN’s as required by customers.
  • Special projects and assignments as directed.

Job Title

Supervisor, Materials (Customer Service) – FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To

Manager, Materials

Summary

This is an administrative and supervisory position responsible for customer contact work involving coordination, shipping, recording, and updating of customer orders and cancellations. Supervises Customer Service Coordinator(s).

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Records, adjusts, and updates shipping schedules, cum-cards, samples, new orders, shipping volume, and order changes.
  • Advise appropriate personnel of order changes.
  • Maintain contact with customers to assure timely processing of orders, shipments, and changes.
  • Reports customer problems and concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Reviews and confirms that schedules and shipping dates will meet customer requirements.

  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the cognitive portion).
