JOB TITLE: Supervisor, Materials (Warehouse) FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manager, Materials (Corporate Warehouse)
This person is responsible for supervisory work involved in the maintenance and accuracy of inventory flow and procedures throughout the warehouse. This position interfaces with vendors, the Summit program management and engineering teams, plant materials departments, both purchasing and customer service and finance to assure that accurate daily, weekly and monthly records of inventory and freight transactions are maintained.
Supervise and direct activities of the materials warehouse. Maintain and organize inventories. Complete paperwork for domestic and international shipments to engineering tool shops and SPI locations including customs paperwork. Maintain min/max inventories of resins/colorants supplied to SPI plants. Coordinate quarterly physical inventories. Schedule freight shipments. Expedites orders as required. Load/unload conveyance vehicles as necessary. Maintain housekeeping standards. Issue forecasts and orders to suppliers special projects and assignments as directed.
Minimum of two years experience in materials or related field. Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Supervisory and inventory experience preferred.
This position typically does not require any travel.
